I don’t know about ya’ll, but if you’re anything like me and “taco” is one of your major food groups then this recipe will be right up your alley. Even if it isn’t tacos I’m making, I use this seasoning for things like quesadilla filling, burrito meat, savory refried beans, or even quick and easy chickpea tacos! The list goes on and if you make this big batch taco seasoning, you will never have to reduce yourself to those overly salty seasoning packets again!

Notable Elements of My Taco Seasoning in Bulk

There are a few ingredients here worth making a few notes about. These include the minced onion, paprika, and salt!

When making this taco seasoning in bulk, feel free to use either smoked paprika or regular, this will depend on your tastebuds and if you like that extra kick of smoke in your tacoey recipes.

I swear the smell of some dried minced onion is one of the BEST smells you can come across! I know it sounds weird, but next time you’re in the grocery store, grab a container and you’ll see what I mean!

Now, what makes this taco seasoning a healthier version of your average packet, is that the sodium content is WAYYYYYY lower. I know you salt-lovers out there will always stick up for the salty version, however, in my opinion, you don’t miss the reduction here. You can obviously customize to your liking and health needs, but in this entire jar, there is only about one tablespoon.   • 1/2 Cup Chili Powder OR 8 Tbsp.
  • 6 Tbsp. Ground Cumin
  • 2 Tbsp. Paprika
  • 2 Tbsp. Crushed Red Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Dried Oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. Dried Minced Onion

Instructions
 

  • Add all of your ingredients to a Wide Mouth Mason jar and snug the lid on.
